Manchester United Will Be Champions With Three Signings Says Neville
Gary Neville has claimed that Manchester United are just three major signing away from becoming Premier League champions for the first time since Sir Alex Ferguson retired.
In the eight years since Fergie called time on his career, United have struggled to get back to the heights they reached when becoming England’s most successful league side.
Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has led United to back-to-back top four finishes, the first time that’s happened for the Old Trafford club in this era, but for fans it still won’t be good enough.
Whilst many pundits have had their say on what United need to take the next step up, Neville has named three players to take them to the title.
Asked in a Twitter Q&A where United could finish with the right signings, the former full back named Raphael, Varane, Harry Kane and Jadon Sancho.
All three top players have been linked with United in the past, and over recent few months, and they would undoubtedly improve the team.
Kane’s future is obviously the biggest transfer story right now, with the Spurs striker seemingly certain that his future no longer lies in north London.
Solskjaer does need to add a right winger to his side though, with Mason Greenwood being played for much of the latter half of the season in that position.
Centre back is obviously another area of the pitch that Solskjaer’s side can improve in, with the Norwegian still looking for the perfect partner for Harry Maguire.
As well as the three players Neville mentioned, many of the United fans replying to the Sky Sports pundit were pointing out that the team needs a defensive midfielder.
